Video-to-MP3.com ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our video to audio conversion service.

We collect minimal information to operate the Service:

• Usage data: Anonymous page view statistics, browser type, and referring URL collected through analytics (if enabled). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Contact data: If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your enquiry.
• Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, request time, status code) are retained for a short period for security and abuse prevention.

We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide personal information to use the conversion service.

Video files you upload for conversion are processed on our servers and stored temporarily while the conversion takes place. Once the conversion is complete and the audio output is available for download:

• Both the source video and converted audio are deleted from our servers automatically after a short period (typically 1 hour)
• We do not read, inspect, analyse, or share the contents of your files
• We do not use your files to train AI models or for any other purpose
• We do not back up your files — once deleted, they are gone permanently

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function:

• Session cookie: Used to maintain your session state on the server. Expires when you close your browser.
• Theme preference: Stores your light/dark mode preference in localStorage (not a cookie, no server transfer).

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technology.

If analytics are enabled, we may use Google Analytics or similar tools to collect anonymised aggregate data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, browser type). This data is used solely to improve the Service and does not identify individual users.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymised, aggregate usage statistics that cannot be used to identify individual users.

Dropbox and Google Drive pickers are provided by their respective services when you choose to import files from those sources. Their own privacy policies apply to any data they collect during that interaction.

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages to protect data in transit. File uploads and downloads are transmitted over encrypted connections. We implement industry-standard server security practices to protect against unauthorised access.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you not to upload highly sensitive personal data.

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. Since we collect almost no personal data, most users have no data on record with us.

If you submitted a contact form and would like your message data deleted, please contact us and we will action your request promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
